Featured Event
AIGA, the professional association for design, Design Within Reach, the International Interior Design Association and the American Society of Interior Designers have come together once again to host the second edition of our presentation series - Parallels - which aims to draw connections between designers and creatives from a variety of disciplines.
The quarterly series continues on with a lecture by two Industrial and Architecture designers: Marion Cage McCollum and Suzanne Tick.
Marian Cage McCollum is a designer who lives and works in New Orleans and New York City. A practicing architect, she worked for architects Zaha Hadid in London and Bernard Tschumi in Paris before returning to the US to start her own practice. She designs jewelry and has recently branched out into decorative hardware and home accessories. In fall of 2009 she opened her flagship boutique, Marion Cage, in her native New Orleans.
Suzanne Tick specializes in material development for commercial and residential interiors, including textiles, hard surfacing, carpet, woven metal screens, and lighting. Her clients include KnollTextiles, where she is responsible for a majority of the vertical fabrics produced Tandus Flooring where she and her partner create vision, and oversee all new product development; and Skyline Design where her glass design collection received a Best of Neocon Gold award.
